Between September 4th and 6th, AmazonTech 2025 transformed the Paricarana Campus of the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) into a hub of innovation, technology, and sustainability. The event, which originated in Roraima and has already toured seven states in the Legal Amazon, returned to the capital of Roraima, bringing together entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, startups, community leaders, and representatives of traditional peoples around the theme "Innovation and sustainability for the future of the Amazon."
Consolidated as one of the main spaces for scientific and technological integration in the region, AmazonTech 2025 reinforced its role in promoting sustainable socioeconomic development, connecting science, technology, and entrepreneurship in favor of a more inclusive and innovative Amazon.

One of the highlights of the program was the lecture given by Professor Jane Márcia Pinto Moura, who represented the president of the Association of Amazonian Universities (UNAMAZ), José Seixas Lourenço. The presentation was part of Axis 2 – Bioeconomy and had as its theme “The economic, rational and sustainable use of Amazonian biodiversity”.
Space for dialogue and innovation
More than a technology fair, AmazonTech 2025 was a space for dialogue, learning and building partnerships. The program included exhibition areas, thematic rooms, a business arena, technology workshops, innovation showcases, a hackathon and technological challenges, as well as spaces focused on gastronomy and regional culture.

The debates and panels were organized into three main axes:

1. Science and technology as a development strategy;

2. Sustainable entrepreneurship and economic inclusion;

3. Social inclusion, cultural appreciation and popularization of science.

These pillars guided the discussions and proposals presented throughout the three days of the event, encouraging the creation of innovative solutions geared towards the realities and challenges of the Amazon.
With free admission, AmazonTech 2025 brought together entrepreneurs, researchers, students, investors, and representatives from public and private institutions — all committed to building a development model that unites innovation, sustainability, and inclusion.

By integrating different sectors of society, the event reaffirmed its relevance as one of the main forums in the Legal Amazon dedicated to the bioeconomy and sustainable innovation. UNAMAZ's participation reinforced the importance of scientific cooperation and the appreciation of natural resources as a basis for a more prosperous and balanced future for the region.
