Brazilian. PhD in Geophysical Engineering from the University of California - Berkeley. He was Director of the Emilio Goeldi Museum (1982-1985). He was Rector of the Federal University of Pará-UFPA (1985-1989). He was the first Rector of the Federal University of Western Pará - UFOPA (2009-2013). He was Director of the National Institute of Amazonian Research - INPA (1992-1995). Secretary for Coordination of Legal Amazon Affairs at the Ministry of the Environment. For ten years (1987-1997) he was President of the Association of Amazonian Universities (UNAMAZ). Since 2017, he has been CEO of the BioTec-Amazônia Association.

She coordinated the Amazonian Worlds Project as a Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Pará-UFPA, conducting four international courses of a Pan-Amazonian nature (2017-2019). She is currently a Consultant for the MEC Project for the Reactivation of the Association of Amazonian Universities - UNAMAZ and an Associate Member of the Tropics in Motion Program - UFPA.

Brazilian Ambassador to Ecuador (2015-2018) and Lima (2011-2015); Minister Counselor at the Embassy in Washington; Deputy Consul General in Miami (United States); Head of the Political Section of the Brazilian Embassy in Buenos Aires (Argentina); and in Charge of the Consulate General in Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) and Atlanta, Georgia (United States). Head of the Trade Promotion, Fairs, and Tourism Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Counselor to the Foreign Trade Foundation. Deputy Ceremonial Officer to the President of the Republic. Special Advisor to the Minister of the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic. Full member of the Export Credit Guarantee Committee (COFIG). Alternate Member of the Chamber of Foreign Trade. Ecuadorian. A lawyer with a doctorate in jurisprudence, she also graduated from journalism school and completed a master's degree in Basic Education and the Recovery of Cultural Values in Latin America at the Federal University of Bahia in Brazil. She is the first woman to hold the positions of President and Constitutional Vice President of the Republic of Ecuador. She served as Vice Minister of Culture and Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports, as well as Secretary-General of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) in Brazil. She also served on the Editorial Board of the Encyclopedia Britannica and the Board of Directors of the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. She is currently the Executive President of the FIDAL Foundation, President of UNIR in Ecuador, a member of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, and an honorary member of the Royal Academy of Doctors of Europe. She serves as an education advisor to the China-North American Trade Association, based in California, and as Chair of the Advisory Board of KREAB. She also serves on the Board of Regents of the University of Otavalo and the SEK University of Ecuador, as well as on the Social Advisory Board of the CoFuturo Foundation. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the WSDF – World Forum for Sustainable Development, an honorary member of Green Cross UK, a member of the Advisory Board of the Global Thinkers Forum, and the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Women and Girls (AFWAG). She also serves as a special advisor to the TIENS Group, a Global Ambassador for the Waterkeepers Alliance, and an honorary member of the Academy of History.

A Guyanese national, the Ambassador of Guyana to Brazil, he has extensive experience in public economic policy, having worked extensively in the Caribbean, Africa, and the Philippines since 1975. He holds degrees from the University of London, the University of Birmingham, and the University of the West Indies, renowned institutions that have contributed to his robust academic background.
In addition to his diplomatic and academic career, Bourne is the author of 10 books and over 50 academic articles. His expertise is also reflected in over 50 research reports and advisory memoranda he has produced for Caribbean governments, foreign governments, and international development agencies.

MARIA JACQUELINE MENDOZA
Venezuelan. Former Secretary-General of the ACTO, serving from July 2015 to December 2018. Director of Management and International Cooperation and, later, Vice-Minister for Latin America and the Caribbean, both at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Venezuela, her country of origin. She served as a consultant to MINEC-FAO (Ministry of People's Power for Ecosocialism and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) on the Third National Communication on Climate Change and the First Biennial Transparency Report in 2024. A highly qualified and results-oriented senior diplomat, with a distinguished career in the areas of environment, international relations, and public policy, she is fluent in three languages: English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Her professional career is characterized by a solid foundation and extensive experience in international relations and environmental affairs, spanning over twenty years. This includes leadership in negotiations for international agreements, implementation and management of bilateral and multilateral cooperation projects for sustainable development, both in my country and in the Amazon region as a whole.

Advisor to the Agrarian Pact, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Bogotá, Colombia.

Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia in the United Mexican States, responsible for bilateral, political, multilateral, regional, trade, and environmental issues — from September 2017 to December 2018. Chief of Staff to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Head of the Mother Earth and Water Unit, an office responsible for international issues related to the environment, climate change, and sustainable development. At the Ministry of Rural Development, Agriculture, and the Environment, she served in the General Directorate of the Environment as a technical-legal consultant from April 2007 to October 2008.

ROBBY DEWNARAIN
Surinamese. He was a career diplomat, trained at the Rio Branco Institute for Diplomatic Career Preparation in Brazil (1987). He was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Suriname from January to September 1991. He served as Suriname's representative in the negotiations for the creation of UNASUR. He held the positions of Deputy Permanent Secretary and, later, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Suriname. He served as Secretary-General of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) from July 2012 to June 2015.
