
Art. 5 The General Assembly (GA) is the highest governing body of UNAMAZ and is made up of one (1) representative from each of the member institutions. The General Assembly will deliberate in accordance with the provisions of Chapter III of the Statute, in articles 24 to 27. Art. 60 The Board of Directors (CD) is a higher body, of a deliberative and executive nature, formed by the National Vice-Presidencies, to deal with the matters stipulated in Chapter III of the Statute, in article 31, items "a" to "k", and other matters designated by the General Assembly, in accordance with the procedures defined in Articles 32 and 33 of the Statute. Art. 7 The Presidency (PR) will be held by the President, elected from among the Vice-Presidents who are members of the Board of Directors, every two (2) years, in accordance with the specific electoral regulations of the Board, and may be reelected for the following term, with executive functions defined in Articles 34 and 35, Chapter III of the Bylaws. Sole Paragraph - In the event of early termination of the term, the successor President will be elected by the members of the Board of Directors, for a pro-tempore term until the end of the regular term of the outgoing President. At the end of this term, he/she may run for the following regular term, in accordance with articles 33, 34 and 35 of Chapter III of the Bylaws. In the event of a vacancy in the office of a President who has served one third or less of his/her term, the office of President will be declared vacant by the Board of Directors and elections will be called for the office of President, in accordance with articles 31 and 32 of the Bylaws. Art. 8 The National Vice Presidency (VP) is the highest national authority of UNAMAZ and its holder is a Rector or equivalent, elected by the General Assembly from among the legal representatives of the member institutions, to comply with the provisions of art. 28, items a, b, c, d, e, f and g, of Chapter III, of the Statute. Paragraph 1 The Vice Presidencies must have legal personality in their respective countries. Paragraph 2 Each Vice Presidency will prepare its Internal Regulations for the proper functioning of the national representation, taking into account the rules in force in the legislation of the respective country, with regard to its relevance as a member organization of an international structure, as well as what is required by the Statute in its Chapter I, Part I, Articles 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5; and Part II, Articles 6, 7, 8, and 9. Paragraph 3 - The members of UNAMAZ International will be the members of all National UNAMAZ. Paragraph 4 The National UNAMAZs shall report annually to the Board of Directors of UNAMAZ International on their programmatic and financial activities, up to two months before the end of the term of office. Paragraph 50 The Internal Regulations and the operating structure of the National Vice-Presidencies shall be subject to analysis and approval by the Board of Directors. Art. 9-The Permanent Executive Secretariat (SE) is an executive support structure and articulator of UNAMAZ policies, established by the General Assembly, the Board of Directors and the Presidency, according to the guidelines of the Strategic Plan, in accordance with articles 43, 44, 45, 46, 47 and 48 of Part VII, Chapter III, of the Statute. Paragraph 1 - The Permanent Executive Secretariat is an operational and functional structure, headed by the Executive Secretary, and provides scientific-technological and logistical support services to ensure the functioning of the organizational structure of UNAMAZ. Paragraph 2 The official headquarters of the Permanent Executive Secretariat will be defined in accordance with the provisions of article 47, Chapter III, and will be designated by an administrative act of the Board of Directors, in accordance with the provisions of article 31, item "i", of the Statute.
