The Association of Amazonian Universities (UNAMAZ) and the Ministry of Education (MEC) held a virtual meeting on October 17th to align the institutions' joint program during COP30, which will be hosted in Belém.
During the meeting, details were discussed regarding the shared booth in the Green Zone, a space designated for civil society institutions, which will be in operation on November 12th and 13th. The proposal is to use the space to present institutional materials and initiatives focused on the educational and environmental areas, highlighting the role of education in promoting sustainability in the Amazon.
As a next step, UNAMAZ and MEC will continue with the joint organization of the actions and resources necessary to carry out the activities planned for the booth.
